The town of Sartène, the most Corsican of Corsican towns according to author Prosper Mérimée, is also known for its famous « CATENACCIU » (Good Friday pilgrimage).

Tizzano in particular, and Sartène in general, are famous for the richness of their prehistoric sites:

• The PADDAGHJU alignment, the Mediterranean's longest alignment with 258 menhirs.
  
• The CAURIA site notable for its magnificent FUNTANACCIA dolmen.
• The hot baths of CALDANE (25 min)
  
• Propriano and its port (25 min).
  
• Rocapina bay and its famous lion on the road to Bonifacio.
